this was just so good it was so funny Harrison and Tempest were so good together nothing's going to stand in her way him included this was a great read I enjoyed it I can't wait for the next!
What a fun romance this is! Tempest is truly a heroine after my own heart and lucky Harrison didn't see her coming his way. Kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next. Can't wait to the next sister's book.
Tempest knows what she wants--to marry the Duke of St. Helens. She's just got to find a way to bump into him and get him to notice her. Oh yes, she also has to get past his haughty mother and a house full of debutantes with more money and culture than she's ever had. No problem!
Harrison Wright isn't interested in looking for a bride among the upper-crust ladies his mother has assembled at this house party, but the only one who does interest him is the daughter of a Shakespeare professor who literally keeps falling at his feet. Now if he could just get her alone and sort out all the problems caused by his brother, her sister, and his mother's schemes, he'd be a happy man.
It's The Bachelor for the Regency set! This was a fun story. I enjoyed seeing how both Tempest and Harrison attempted to take care of the rest of the members of their families while trying to find love for themselves. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series to see what happens with Tempest's sisters.
Can a Duke fall in love with the daughter of a poor Shakespeare scholar? That is what Tempest Manning is hoping for. He falls for her, literally, every time he turns around he seems to be bumping into her. While the heat is there she certainly isn’t duchess material.
Her shortcomings are even more visible (at least to the Duke’s mother and her titled friends) when Tempest, her sisters, and mother are invited to a house party that the Dowager Duchess is holding in order to parade a bevy of Ladies before her son in a version of Regency Bachelor. Obviously, the Mannings weren’t on the mother’s guest list but the Duke (Harrison) and his brother (Adrian) made their mother invite them. While Harrison has good intentions toward Tempest, Adrian is more of a rake and has ruinous designs on her sister.
The characters are well written and you can’t help but pull for Tempest and against the more acceptable Lady Ann. The Duke is an honorable and lovable second son who never was supposed to inherit. His mother is the kind of character you just want to strangle and his brother, the lovable rake isn’t as lovable as he seems. This is a good clean romance that was a delight to read and I can’t wait to see what happens in this series.

Well, if your named Tempest, that might influence your personality. How, I won't say. And I wonder how many heroes named Harry we have ended up with, with all their range of appearances, thanks to Certain princess.
This is a humorous book, light on the surface, but with deep undercurrents, should you care to find them. The sisters present the usual united front, with the usual behind scenes breaks, and the brothers do likewise. The horses...are horses.
This is an excellent book for a rainy afternoon. Also for a sunny morning, a sleepless night (but only if you sleep alone. You might giggle.)
I have read most of Ms. Catania's books. I have to strongly admit that this is, by far, her best work to date. The story is captivating and will draw you in deeper and deeper into the characters and plot line. It will make you laugh and cry, sometimes simultaneously.
I didn't really know what to expect with this new Shakespeare's daughters series, but I must say that I was pleasantly hooked from start to finish with 'What Tempest Wants'
(And those that are familiar with Jerricas work and have read 'The Gyspy Bride' will already be familiar with he eldest Manning daughter, Bianca, who also makes an appearance - I love it when seperate stand alone series can be connected ) )
Tempest Manning is the second eldest daughter, of 4 girls, to a Shakespearean scholar. She has her heart set on Marrying The Duke of St Helens, which will be no small feat since she is but a Miss from the country. She manages to secure an invitation, alone with her 2 younger sisters and their mother, to a house party being held at The Dukes ducal estate, much to his mothers and the nasty Lady Ann's dismay. What was meant to be a smooth planned house party turns into anything but.
Jerrica has done a wonderful job bringing this world to life and done a remarkable job with her secondary character development - and what I suspect is a tease into what is to come with said characters.
On finishing, However, I was disappointed that I have to wait for the next instalment. I eagerly await its release )
